A real passion for life and nature are the foundation for the artwork of Ninon (1967). Her work is primitive as well as modern in character and therefore above all else it is timeless. She searches for a link in the natural world with a universal energy; a primal energy that transgresses time and space. She strives to express in her sculptures the ageless harmony, energy and sensuality that touch the very essence of life. To get in touch with this energy Ninon tries to experience nature. The way in which everything in nature is connected always amazes her and she searches for the equality of all that lives. Through her desire to comprehend nature, Ninon has travelled extensively and seen various landscapes, types of animal and cultures. She converts the experiences she has on the road into her artwork. It is therefore not surprising that the organic form constantly recurs in her stylised and scrupulously finalized animal figures. An inner balance emanates from them, which gives these works of art an autonomous character. The beauty and balance that nature is drenched with can be witnessed in Ninon’s sculptures. .
