A love of creation is the foundation of Mohana’s artistry. This passion was also at the core of her mechanical engineering education. Mohana has found the balance between her passion for technique and her love of artistic expression, by sculpting. Making sculptures takes more than just artistry; the technical process is just as important. As regards content Mohana wants to express the carefree side of life. She feels it is of import to look for cheerfulness and joy in an already troubled world. Where she found it difficult to express this emotion on the human figure she has found that animal figures are the ideal theme. She has succeeded in a superb way of illuminating the beautiful and carefree side of existence in her bronze animals. The bulbous horsy Pim jumping off his plinth radiates zest for life and energy. Her other bronze animals also emanate vitality and resilience. Mohana is able to convey, in her sculptures, feelings of happiness and joy directly to her public.
